Face to face services at Chelford Surgery

We would like to update patients on changes to current services in line with ongoing easing of restrictions and advice from NHS England.

Chelford staff are proud to have worked hard in trying to balance accessibility while still ensuring patient safety over the last year. This has included reintroduction of face to face services where clinically appropriate, reopening the reception area and continuing to maintain ability for patients to collect prescriptions. Through this ethos we have also provided safe and socially distanced covid vaccination clinics in a local setting for our patients.

Patients may be aware of recent media stating a return to full face to face appointments, however some reports haven’t emphasised the need to maintain social distancing measures.  While we are continuing to strive to improve accessibility at Chelford Surgery, we do need to maintain social distancing and presently our waiting area would not have capacity allow this in a safe way for our patients and staff.

As such, presently we will still need to maintain telephone appointments in the first instance. A face to face appointments will always be offered where deemed to be clinically necessary and appropriate by a clinician.

Thank you for your continued support.
