COVID Vaccination Update – 12th April 2021
Chelford surgery will no longer be routinely inviting patients for their first dose of the COVID vaccination, until further notice. Unless you are part of cohorts 1-9 or there is a specific clinical need such as; starting chemotherapy or immunosuppressants in these cases you will need to speak to a GP. Patients can access vaccinations through the national vaccination hubs by contacting 119. If you feel you should have been contacted by them already please contact 119 directly. We have a few vaccination clinics coming up for second dose vacations and these are:
16th April 2021 – Wilmslow Clinic delivering the Pfizer vaccination
19th April 2021 – Chelford Surgery delivering the AstraZeneca vaccination
21st April 2021 – Chelford Surgery delivering the AstraZeneca vaccination
Patients who are due their second vaccination will be contacted by the surgery, please wait to be contacted by us.
We are aware patients may receive a letter from NHS England advising to book for there second vaccination. Please note that due to delivery issues the second dose of vaccine will be delayed.
If you were given a date for your second dose following attendance at the clinics at Wilmslow Health Centre on 9th January and were expecting a second dose on 19th March THESE DATES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.
We are expecting delivery of vaccine in the week commencing 22nd March, and anticipate clinics during that week.
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SURGERY TO INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR 2ND VACCINATION DATE. We will contact you directly once delivery is confirmed and appointments have been set up.
All patients will be notified when their second vaccination dose is due which will be within the 12 weeks recommended by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.
