We are facing a significant rise and surge with Covid infections in what is now the 5th Covid wave since the start of the pandemic.
As a result, we are asking all visitors and patients to wear a face mask and respect social distancing when visiting Chelford Surgery. We hope patients will support this decision in order to reduce the risk of transmission and illness within our local population.
With facing high numbers of staff sickness and shortage nationally and locally, this will also help us to continue to provide much needed GP services to our patients.
We have unfortunately had to deal with more staff sickness and need for staff to isolate at Chelford in the last month than throughout most of the pandemic. We have made provisions for staff to be able to work from home in these situations if felt well enough to do so.
When requesting an appointment please consider whether this can be done via telephone or text message, as this will help us
- reduce unnecessary visits to the surgery and hopefully help control transmission.
- ensure those with most clinical need can get a face to face appointment when we may be potentially facing less staff on site.
- make best use of changes we may need to make with home working patterns.
Please continue to remain safe and thank you for your understanding and patience.
