We are pleased to announce that we will be running flu clinics at Chelford Surgery this year for our at risk groups.
Plans are in place for us to carry out flu clinics on the following dates:
- Saturday 24th September – between 9am and 2 pm
- Saturday 1st October – between 9am and 2pm
- Monday 3rd October – To be confirmed
We are looking this year to vaccinate the following at risk groups:
- All patients aged over 65 years of age
- Patients aged 18 to 65 years of age who have a recognized condition that places them at increased risk
We are also vaccinating patients at risk aged under 18, however, we will be contacting these patients separately to specific clinics at the surgery later in October
In an attempt to maintain a steady flow of traffic on the day, we have allocated times for patients to attend. Details of this have been sent out by mail to eligible patients. Please stick to your time where possible and consider parking away from the surgery to help reduce traffic.
If you are unable to attend on one of the given days you can still arrange to have a vaccination at your local pharmacist.

Unfortunately we will be unable to vaccinate patients aged 50-64 years without an ‘at risk’ condition. At the time of ordering our vaccines in Spring, we were advised that we would not be vaccinating this group of patients in Autumn 2022. This guidance subsequently changed and we are currently in a position where we wouldn’t be able to provide flu vaccinations to all eligible patients. Our priority would be to vaccinate those patients most at risk. From Mid-October, patients in the 50-64 year old group will be able to obtain free NHS Flu vaccines via pharmacists using the link above.
Covid boosters Autumn 2023
The Autumn Covid Booster campaign is being rolled out and initially will be offered to those patients most at risk.
Across the CHAW PCN, we have felt unable to offer Covid boosters at practices without risking impacting our regular clinical care.
We will be vaccinating patients registered in nursing homes across the CHAW PCN and housebound patients. Any remaining vaccine may be used in small clinics during September and October.
Patients can still continue to book vaccinations using the National Booking Service.
